Limited Edition Prints
Each limited edition is a giclée print created on either archival acid free digital
fine art canvas or archival, acid free, 100% cotton rag digital fine art paper.
The canvas prints are hand stretched over wooden stretcher bars by the artist
in a "gallery wrap" style so that the artwork can be enjoyed with or without a
frame. The canvas is sealed with a gloss UV spray to protect the work from
fading, dust and humidity. Fine art cotton paper prints are sealed with a matte
finish UV Spray coat. All limited edition prints are hand signed and numbered
by the artist. The canvas prints are shipped ready to hang with a wire hanger.
All fine art cotton paper prints are shipped flat (print only). An artist signed
certificate of authenticity accompanies each limited edition. No print edition
exceeds a quantity of 50 so that the artwork is truly "limited" and collectible.

About Giclée Prints
A giclée (zhee-CLAY), is an individually produced, high-resolution, high tech
reproduction done on a professional large format printer.

Giclées can be printed on any number of archival media including canvas.
Giclées are superior to traditional lithography in nearly every way. Giclée fine
prints maintain color and quality 15 times longer than a fine art lithograph.
The colors are brighter, last longer, and are so high-resolution that they are
virtually 'continuous tone', rather than tiny dots. The range, or "gamut" of color
for giclées is also far beyond that of lithography, and details are crisper.

Giclée prints should last decades under proper care and are now being
collected by museums.

Apsara Sai

The Apsara Sai was created from photographs taken from my first trip to Cambodia in 2002. The ornate carved sandstone in the background was photographed at the Banteay Srei temple. The central carving - an Apsara
was photographed the Preah Khan temple.

WHAT IS AN APSARA?
An Apsara is a female spirit of the clouds and waters in Hindu and Buddhist mythology, essentially an angel. Apsarases (plural) are said to be able to change their shapes at will, and specially rule over the fortunes of
gaming and gambling. Apsarases each represent a distinct aspect of the performing arts. They can be compared with the ancient Greek muse. They may also, in their "Nature" capacity, be rendered comparable to the
Greek nymphs, dryads, naiads, etc.

The Apsara Sai = is an Apsara of the flowers or "Flower Angel".

The Forest King

The Forest King was created from my original photography of the Angkor Thom in Cambodia. Layering of additional original flora photography and digital painting were added. The main photo used in the artwork was
taken at the Bayon located within Angkor Thom. The Bayon features many towers surrounded by the serene smiling face of Jayavarman VII carved in a traditional Buddhist style.

Angkor Thom was the last and most enduring capital city of the Khmer empire. It was established in the late twelfth century by king Jayavarman VII. It covers an area of 9 km². Angkor Thom remained the capital of a
kingdom in decline until it was abandoned some time prior to 1609, when an early western visitor wrote of an uninhabited city, "as fantastic as the Atlantis of Plato"

The Forest Temple Guardian was Inspired by the sandstone carving at The Banteay Srei temple in Cambodia - The Forest Temple Guard I is created from my original photography from a recent trip to Cambodia.
Tropical folliage and ancient symbols from the mystical Key of King Solomon were combined through digital layering and painting. The resulting image is that of a powerful guardian protecting a sacred site. A spiritual
combination of nature, ancient religion and symbolic mysticism.

The "Garden Kinaree" was inspired by and created from photos taken from my trip to Thailand in 2002. This is one of my favorite pieces of artwork. The rich color, flowing ivy and peaceful expression of the Kinaree truly
create a stunning image.

"Kinarees are depicted as half-bird half-women creatures in Thai, Cambodian and Lao, and Burmese mythology. One of the many creatures that inhabit the mythical Himapan Forest, Kinaree has the head, torso, and
arms of a woman and the wings, tail and feet of a swan. She is renowned for her dance, song and poetry, and is a traditional symbol of feminine beauty, grace and accomplishment."
